Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was able to continue building upon her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her competitors in the initial round. Then, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous vote, leaving a black mark on Ladd's record for amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey in professional boxing. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. She won her next fight in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used superior wrestling to take down McGill in the third round of a TKO. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen was a dominant Hoy and defeated her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO in second round. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took on Evinger to the punch in the first round she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Ladd fought in her debut big fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd won the fight of the night bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her winning streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. In her recent fight for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The fight was lost by majority vote.
