Singer was born on 26 November 1986, at Santa Monica California. She has a father named Vincenzo Barba is her mother Valerie Barba. The family relocated from New Jersey's Point Pleasant to Jersey at the age of 6. She finished her secondary schooling in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. Then she attended Catholic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. As well, she played the violin at the age of four and was referred to as the Violin Lady. Her performances led to being nicknamed Violin Girl. She also taught violin to children in the area. When she was nineteen, she appeared on the 6th season of American Idol and sang the 1976 hit single Free. However she was eliminated after reaching 16th position on the show. She has also performed several songs, including 'The Christmas Song (2009) as well as Out for Blood (2010).
