Carey was a fashion model. She is 5'10" tall and was very popular among top American designers, such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren as well as others. In 1979 the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists voted her dad Scientist of The Year. Carey was educated all over the planet because of her father's work. In her college years when she was modeling part-time and attracted the attention of Ford model Agency representatives in New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris prior to returning back to New York. Her modeling and college career took off and she was featured on Glamour's, Vogue's as well as many other covers of magazines. As a model, she attended New York University full-time to obtain a degree in literature. Then she became interested in acting, and began taking classes with the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. In 1986 she began her career on stage with a small role in "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. In her spare time, she enjoys ski, wind surfing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water river rafting.
